Hi, I'm Yusuf. My background is in computer science, but the real start was building little websites and tools for friends, family, and mutuals who needed something and didn't know who to ask. One project turned into ten, ten turned into referrals from people I'd never met, and somewhere in there it stopped feeling like a favor and started feeling like a business.
Along the way I worked as a developer at a startup, then spent time at a large multinational as both an intern and full-timer. Both taught me how software actually gets shipped (and how it doesn't). But a 9-to-5 was never going to be the ending. MooseBase is the formal version of what I'd already been quietly doing for years.
We stay small on purpose. That means every client talks directly to the person doing the work. No account managers relaying messages. No junior developers learning on your dime. Whether it's a website, a custom portal, or an AI chatbot, the same senior hands carry it from kickoff to launch.
Outside the code editor, I'm usually chasing a better cup of coffee, planning the next trip or weird new experience, or losing an evening to a video game. Almost always with Cooper, our resident cat, asleep within arm's reach.
